Feelin' the Love

Kelly's children are very busy helping the
postal service gear up for the holiday rush. Our
mailbox is full of fun mail. Thanks kids.
From sweet Lia - hoping Grandpa feels
better soon! She is quite the artist and we
have stacks of pictures that are priceless.

From Jaxon a Ninja Turtle Man.
He has mad drawing skills for such a youngster.

The only type of flowers allowed for Grandpa
Steve at this time. Thanks Lia.

Steve's bulletin board is way too small.
This has something from each grand
child - love the arms giving hugs.
Thanks to you all for making Grandpa
feel the love.

This site is great. We think of you often and you are in our prayers. You have to thank Marie for making a very memorable Thanksgiving. When I was younger my mother would let us have anything we wanted for dinner on our birthday. One year I picked a Swanson mexican frozen TV dinner. I loved them. So, I guess getting to have a frozen TV dinner for Thanksgiving would have been a highlight for me. I know it is wrong to be jealous, but . . ..

Steve you are a great friend and now also one of my heroes.

I left a comment earlier, but I think my blogging skills are severely lacking, since it never showed up. I am trying again.

Love you guys,
Scott and Kim

Steve, Your attitude is a strength to those of us watching and praying from behind the scenes. What a blessing is is to have a supportive family.
Love to you both,

Steve and Lynn,

Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you both. Between you positive comments and David's letters home I feel uplifted each week. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, it gives me strength.

Steve,
I am so computer challenged that this is a monumental attempt to send you my very best wishes and hope you are feeling better each day. I think about our nearly 50 years of friendship and reflect on so many fun and good memories. Be a good patient with patience! Easier to say than do, but your attitude is great and you obviously have tremendous love and support from family and friends. Remember, this too shall pass and we will be talking about the whole process 20 years from now! You take care buddy and mind Lynn!
Love,
Scott Critchlow

Hi Steve,
Work just hasn't been the same without your smiling face around here. I am a firm believer that laughter is the best healer, so I will try to send you a joke or two, every work day. LOL

--A helicopter was flying around above Seattle when an electrical malfunction disabled all of the aircraft's electronic navigation and communications equipment.

Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot could not determine the helicopter's position. The pilot saw a tall building, flew toward it, circled, and held up a handwritten sign that said "WHERE AM I?" in large letters. People in the tall building quickly responded to the aircraft, drew a large sign, and held it in a building window. Their sign said "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER."

The pilot smiled, waved, looked at his map, determined the course to steer to SEATAC airport, and landed safely. After they were on the ground, the copilot asked the pilot how he had done it.

"I knew it had to be the Microsoft Building, because they gave me a technically correct but completely useless answer."

--There was a woman who was pregnant with twins, and shortly before they were due, she had an accident and went into a coma. Her husband was away on business, and unable to be reached. While in the coma, she gave birth to her twins, and the only person around to name her children was her brother.

When the mother came out of her coma to find she had given birth and that her brother had named the twins, she became very worried, because he wasn't a very bright guy. She was sure he had named them something absurd or stupid.

When she saw her brother she asked him about the twins.

He said, "The first one was a girl."

The mother: "What did you name her?!?"

Brother: "Denise!"

The Mom: "Oh, wow, that's not bad! What about the second one?"

Brother: "The second one was a boy."

The Mom: "Oh, and what did you name him?"

Brother: "Denephew."

We received your blog and went back to the beginning. It is a lesson to all especially at our age to know that their is trust and hope in prayers and doctors. Both seem to work well together and its great that you are under such superb care. Bet the nurses keep you busy as well and it appears that you are one of their favorites...as you are one of ours.
We will continue to monitor your progress and will remember you in our prayers.
