A nurse friend of mine who did alot for us said when she heard Tricot was coming, "he will bring humility and caring there". It is as much a gift to me as to you to know you will experience this. I know these days can be wearisome and exhausting to say the least. The stem cell collection made us feel scared, relieved, and yet in awe of life. When you receive them back, it can feel like a rebirth with hope. Dr. Zangari is a sensitive mild mannered man(he took care of Dick once in the hospital). This Thanksgiving I am so thankful that you both are a part of my life. Keep thinking of all the fun things you enjoy, your family, and the fun memories of Lake Powell, etc on those " not so grear days". Together you will be stronger than one, and your marriage and love will experience a greater depth only you two will know. You are in my prayers, and I put your names in the Temple.

Love ya,

Janjan jordanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02512977646118235390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-108921512722659698.post-91474788319364973072008-11-23T20:25:00.000-08:002008-11-23T20:25:00.000-08:00Steve,Greetings from the Philippines! We are sorry to hear of the cancer that has entered your life. As I read your blog just this morning, many memories returned of the times we shared together in the flight simulation business. Also, I greatly appreciated your blog comments as you differentiated between what you have done and what you are now experiencing with who you are. I recall the wonderful story in Max DePree’s "Leadership Is An Art," about the millwright. Many knew this man as the millwright – because that was his employment. However, there was much more to the man. Max asked, “Was he a poet who did millwright's work, or was he a millwright who wrote poetry?” (You can read the story at: http://www.hermanmiller.com/CDA/SSA/Category/0,1564,a10-c759,00.html) We send our love and prayers and best wishes to a good man - and his family!
Ralph & Edy HowesRalph and Edyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14775035235702488406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-108921512722659698.post-34803618256587951132008-11-21T20:51:00.000-08:002008-11-21T20:51:00.000-08:00Steve and Lynn,Thanks for creating this blog. Thank you, Lynn, for calling last week. I feel you will be blessed by having the BEST (Dr.Tricot) Who would have ever guessed he would have come to Utah!! I really feel he is here at this time for YOU to have the best care possible. I am calling John Bailey today to put him in touch with you, Steve. He had the tandem transplants from the beginning and Dr. Tricot was his Doc too. John is retired, a Dr., was head of Cache Valley Public Health. He lives in Logan, but comes up for appointsments and meds at the base. He was also ex military like Dick. He and his wife Anne are really special people, good supports, like you are/were for me and Dick.
We are all in this with you. Your camera case looks familiar!
Hang in there. I am so glad you both have each other.
